Stevenage Borough Council

The Planning Policy Team is part of the Planning and Regulation unit within Stevenage Borough Council. The Planning Policy Team develop local policies that are used by the Council when determining planning applications. The Local Plan is the overarching Development Plan Document for the Borough. It sets out the strategic priorities for development in Stevenage. This includes: land allocations and policies which cover issues such as housing, employment, community, environment and heritage. All other policy documents support the objectives of the Local Plan. The team is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining the council's Self-Build and Brownfield Land Registers, Article 4 Directions and neighbourhood planning. Stevenage Borough Council will only receive public and anonymous statistical data from this website.
